The NextoDI NVS2525 is a high speed, portable video backup device for use in the field. You will no longer need to lug your laptop when shooting on location. Just insert your SxS, P2, or CF card into the NVS2525—and your footage will be quickly copied onto a 750GB hard drive. The SxS and P2 cards are inserted directly into the NVS2525, while the CF card requires an adapter. The backup speed of the NVS2525 is truly impressive. An SxS card backs up at the rate of 80MB/s---that’s MegaBytes per second—or 2x faster than backing up to a laptop! The P2E backup speed is about 72 MB/s—again, twice as fast as backing up to a laptop. Backup from a CF card--using an adpater-- is about 78MB/s.

The NVS2525 has the ability to simultaneously backup to both its 750GB internal hard drive—and a 750GB external hard drive. So now you can quickly backup your valuable data by generating two copies on two separate hard drives—greatly enhancing the security of your footage. An eSATAp external hard drive is included with the NVS2525. For additional security, the NVS2525 features a 2.4” LCD screen for verifying capture of your footage. Just glance at the LCD screen and the low-res video clips will assure you that your footage has been successfully copied.

NVS2525A UDF - Nexto Video Storage Pro+

Direct SXS and P2 card slots with support for both UDF and FAT32

The NextoDI NVS2525A UDF is a special version of the NVS2525 with the same great features, but also support for both UDF and FAT32 formatted memory cards. That means the Nexto NVS2525 UDF can be used with the ARRI Alexa and other cameras like the Sony PMW-500 (FAT 32 & UDF). Using the UDF compatible Nexto allows you to backup video files larger than 4GB.

LCD Preview

Preview your video. All of the video formats recorded from the PMW-500 camcorder, including MPEG2 / IMX / DV are all available for preview via the built-in lcd monitor.

*Previewing ProRes codec will be available in a future firmware upgrade.

Limitations and OS Compatibility

Both the internal and external hard drives are formatted in UDF file system only. The UDF formatted external hard drive does not work with Windows OS. Works fine with Mac OS 10.5.8 or above.

Operating Guidelines

NVS2525 does not work properly with temperatures below 0 degrees C.
Warm up the unit before use.

NVS1501 - Nexto Video Storage Pro

The Nexto DI 500 GB NVS1501 Photo and Video Storage for Pro DSLR provides your Pro DSLR camera with 500 GB of instant data storage - ideal for on location work. The NVS1501 features SD/SDHC/MMC/SDXC, CF/MD, and Memory Stick/MS Pro-HG/MS Pro MagicGate slots for direct transfer from your card.

In addition to storing important files, which frees up your memory cards for more shooting; the NVS1501 also allows you to copy your files onto other devices, such as USB drives or memory cards, using an external card reader or the optional Ikegami GFPAK. Data can be copied to external hard drives as well using the appropriate connection. Data can additionally be burned to Blu-ray Disc using the NVS1501.

Nexto DI gave this device safety features as well; such as shock protection, in the form of a built-in free-fall sensor and rubber bumpers. Bad sector recovery is another feature that will ensure your peace of mind, by recovering data from bad sectors and moving it to a safe sector. When it comes to powering the NVS1501 various methods can be employed. The internal battery can be recharged via the FireWire 800 cable, USB cable, or AC adapter, or the 'AA' battery holder can provide power, among other options.
